She was the widow of Charles “Chuck” Shoemaker, who died Feb. 8, 2002.Born on Aug. 5, 1923, in Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Kathryn (Kelly) Weary.Dorothy was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy for six years.
